Was ist eigentlich Mail Art?
Mail Art ist demokratisch. Mail Art ist nicht kommerziell. Mail Art findet manchmal in Museen statt, öfter aber außerhalb. Ein prägnantes Video auf der Plattform MailYour.Art erklärt die Grundlagen in drei Minuten. Erstaunlicherweise hat es Mail Art schon lange vorunserer Zeit gegeben. Wenn man es genau nimmt, schon vor 4500 Jahren.

Exhibition in Italy
For a Reduced Rate for Postal Art
Maya López Muro of the Il Graffiacielo Art Studio in Italy started an initiative to reduce postage for mail art. Artists from 28 countries have already supported the claim with their signatures as well as withe their works.
Before the presentation of the petition to the authorities of the Poste Italiane, there has been an exhibition of the works in Arezzo.

Children in the World
The mail art exhibition Bambini nel mondo – Children in the World ran from 1 to 26 June 2022 in the gallery Kunst Grenzen / Arte di Frontera in the municipality Roveré della Luna in Trentino (Italy). The show was curated by Renata di Palma and featured the works of 57 artists. Among them were a watercolor painting by Gabriele Müller (left) and a collage / painting / photo by Gabriele and Gerald Jatzek (right).
Mexican Traditions
The Day of the Dead (Día de los Muertos) is a Mexican holiday celebrated on November 1 and 2. Since 2008 it is part of the UNESCO’s List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. The cult was the theme of an exhibition in the famous Stamp Museum in Oaxaca. The contributions of two Austrian artists were part of the show.
